Dark and light is a concept. Dark and Light is a physical energy. It is a thing that all pieces of the world are witness to on land or in space. It is a story that travels between every society in every part of the world. Preoccupying the philosophies of every being that has the ability to contemplate such. A whole cataclysm of stories have weaved abstract visions of the terrific reality of the offending forces that rule this universe.
Within a painting there are negative and positive space. With light it's black and white. With numbers its 0 and 8 (a vertical infinity sign). The contradicting forces take many forms.
Personally I think there relationship is best shown in the corresponding religious symbol, the yin and yang sign.
But how dose any of this relate to life. The skeptic would skim over this and understand the implications I have presented, but still notice that this explanation could mean anything. But light and dark is in all of us. When the big bang happened it was the two elements that danced about the cosmos. Therefore if the visible universe was made of light, and we preceded from light due to the rare conditions that could host life, then we are light. Which is why we defend against the concept of darkness. Simplified. Yes. But the dynamic of life is much simpler than you would suspect.(more will be added)

Beginning
The four elements are Air, Water, Earth, Fire and in that specific order. The physical elements, like actual water, are only symbols and examples of what they represent. The arrangement of the elements are within a circle and are set to the way each element relates to the other. For instants, Water is diagonal to Fire because they conflict with each other, an opposite if you will, and are next to elements that relate to each other progressively, example: Earth is next to Water because Water is within Earth and Fire is next to Earth because Earth fuels Fire. Therefore the organization of the elements looks roughly like the graph made by the philosopher Empedocles. The Elements represent the sub elements; Water has > Ice, Foam, and Mist, to name a few, which are more specific and are actual connections to the physical aspects of nature.
The Four main elements are under the two principle elements. These elements are more arcane, but are more widely known, both metaphorically and literally. They are Light and Dark.

Prolog
The aspects of spirituality is not the same as religion or science. The story of the gods can soothe the soul and enlighten many but within religion there will always be a political and communal agenda. Science bares itself as the pinnacle of all certainty and fact but if men dedicate themselves to anything it will be deprived of integrity thus it is contrived to bend to their own personal, petty (under developed) agenda. That is not spirituality. Spirituality is the connection and power that we have and the universe has. As vague as that sounds the principles and concepts that ensue science and sometimes religion is the pursuit of truth, and enlightenment, because both intuition and logic are key components for the pursuit of truth. For example; for a very long time I've been a young girl with a type of wisdom that I could not explain, but I also have the ability to adapt my seemingly preexisting knowledge. Then to master the craft of writing to express the things I know.
The contents and philosophies expressed are the result of 18 years discovered by my being through meditaion, observation. The universe is much older and wiser than I am, therefore, what is expressed here is not the words that rule the universe, they are paths to the truth and enlightenment that are objects for scrutiny and criticism. The true path to enlightenment is one that changes and keeps curious. As Emerson said, If I contradict myself then I have grown because contradiction is the principle of a changing mind. I've taught these things to separate people, but I think it's time that the world hear this for itself.

Charms
Under the category of helpful suggestions. Charms can be anything and are anything. Most commonly they usually come in the form of jewelry since those can be worn anywhere discreetly and for a long amount of time. A charm is an object that is carried on your person that absorbs luck (to put it simply). Whether luck is good or bad, you can distance yourself from the fortune you are experiencing by removing that object from yourself or keep the same balance of luck by keeping that object with you. About a month ago I tied a string absentmindedly around my ankle, (obviously you should not confuse the direction of the universe to dictating what kind of energy an object "absorbs" from a person to the object dictating the direction of universe should lean toward, so what things might come my way when I take it off is not totally predictable). If you think fate is determined by yourself then you could use the possible physiological implications to help yourself. But the power of a charm wether you are aware of it or not is one of the small and subtle powers that can shape a day or your life.
